Elias Wins Moto2 at Indi.

Moto2 News - Honda Racing
Toni Elias extends his world championship lead with his fifth win of the season
Toni Elias (Gresini Racing Moto2, Moriwaki) extended his world championship lead with his fifth win of the season in the red flag-interrupted Moto2 final, despite suffering from a fever and body pains that made the 35C heat unbearable and sapped his strength.

The first attempt to start the race ended with a pair of multi-rider crashes in turn two. The re-start would be 30 minutes later and Elias was ready.

Elias bolted into the lead from sixth on the grid, taking Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing Team, Suter) and Julian Simon (Mapfre Aspar Team, Suter) with him.

Close Encounters, Prairie Dogs, The Occidental and Whoops!

On day 53 I left Deadwood where I had been staying as it is close to Sturgis. As you probably know, Deadwood is steeped in Cowboy legend. Colonel George Armstrong Custer led an expedition into the Hills and announced the discovery of gold in South Dakota. Custer's announcement triggered the Black Hills Gold Rush and gave rise to the lawless town of Deadwood. The town became famous for the murder of Wild Bill Hickock and he is buried nearby along with Calamity Jane in the nearby cemetery.

You can still see glimpses of the past, but most of the original buildings are gone...."

15 August - Matlock, Derbyshire

Lot's of bikes out last Sunday in Derbyshire. The weather was great. There are a lot more speed cameras since I was last there although the one's that I saw seem to be facing the wrong way. Anyone know why? Saw bikers from Germany and Spain at Chatsworth House although we didn't get chance to talk.
