Ducati 750 F1
I’m a sucker for the endurance racer look, especially if twin headlamps are involved. And this is one of the best examples I’ve seen for a long time. It’s owned by Gregory Rathe, and there’s an interesting history behind it. In 1985, Ducati made a replica of its Pantah-based TT racers called the 750 F1. Around 1,500 were made, and won acclaim for their streamlined design and exceptional handling."

La classifica delle 10 moto elettriche migliori al mondo
The best 10 electric bikes in the world.

MotoGP News - Stoner and Dovizioso score Honda one-two at Le Mans
Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda RC212V) scored his second MotoGP victory on a Honda in today’s French Grand Prix to move into second place in the World Championship point standings. Team-mate Andrea Dovizioso (Repsol Honda RC212V) scored a fine second-place finish to secure a brilliant one-two for Repsol Honda.
But what could have been a perfect day for the team was spoiled by a mid-race incident, which saw the luckless Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V) crash and break a collarbone after tangling with Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini RC212V). Simoncelli was subsequently punished with a ride-through penalty that demoted him from second place to fifth.

Rea edges Smrz off the top slot
Saturday, 16 April 2011 11:03
Jonathan Rea (Castrol Honda) knocked Jakub Smrz (Effenbert-Liberty Racing Ducati) off the top slot with a lap time of 1 minute 36.035 seconds in the closing minutes of the Q2 session. Thanks to his third time on Friday, Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia Racing) took the third quickest time, ahead of Troy Corser (BMW Motorrad Motorsport) who was half a second quicker than yesterday.
The same can be said for Noriyuki Haga (Pata Racing Team Aprilia), who was fifth, the Japanese rider finishing the session ahead of Leon Haslam (BMW Motorrad Motorsport). Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team) failed to improve and he was seventh in front of Michel Fabrizio (Suzuki Alstare), while Carlos Checa could only manage ninth on his Althea Racing Ducati.

Rossi - Stoner Collision
by Clykins021on April 6th, 2011 at 4:54 pm
Top level sport needs drama and that is exactly what we got on the eighth lap of the Spanish Grand Prix. For the first time in Rossi’s brief Ducati career, it seemed the bike was actually working to his liking. A podium or even a victory seemed possible, a bet that no one in the paddock would have taken after Saturday’s qualifying practice. As he went down the pit straight, Rossi tried to brake as late as possible, something that had never seemed too difficult for him while riding his ex-lover, the Yamaha M1. The GP11 Ducati, however, is not that smooth, gentle Yamaha and even in the hands of a nine-time world champion the front end folded going into turn one. What happened after that will be talked about for days, months and years to come.

Qatar
You know you've got up too early when you realise midway through the morning that your underpants are on back to front and inside out.
The first leg of my journey to Qatar for the first round of the MotoGP season was uncomfortable but not unusual.
After 10 full seasons of covering the sport, I have yet to learn to prepare my suitcase any sooner than bedtime on the eve of departure, or get up any earlier than 10 minutes before the taxi is set to beep its horn, which, in this case, was 5am.
But one thing is significantly different for me this year. This time I will be anchoring the BBC's MotoGP coverage.
